About This Event
An evening of spoken word, art, and dialogue at MODA
Join us for Interwoven, an immersive evening of cocktails, conversation, and performance designed to spark new ways of understanding and experiencing THREADS of CHANGE, MODA’s latest exhibition exploring textile art as a medium for storytelling, activism, and climate justice.
In partnership with M21D (Museum of 21st Century Design) and supported by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Atlanta, this event invites you to engage with the exhibition through the lens of spoken word poetry presented by renowned artist Ryan J. Throughout the evening, three powerful spoken word performances will serve as entry points for conversation, prompting guests to explore the connections between textiles, climate action, and personal and collective equity.
Rather than structured or formal discussions, the evening will unfold organically, with a facilitator guiding conversation and encouraging reflection in an open and welcoming environment.
5:30 PM – Guests arrive, grab a cocktail, and explore the gallery
6:00 PM – Welcome remarks from the Consulate General & introduction to THREADS of CHANGE
6:20 PM – Spoken word performances & conversation begins
7:30 PM – Closing reflections & event conclusion
This event is an opportunity to experience THREADS of CHANGE in a new way—through the power of collective dialogue. Whether you’re an artist, activist, designer, or simply curious, Interwoven offers a unique space to reflect, connect, and reimagine how art can drive change
