The exhibition preview and reception will be held at MODA.
MODA is conveniently located in the Midtown Arts District, right across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center at 1315 Peachtree St. NE Atlanta, GA 30309.
MODA is located on the ground floor of the 1315 Peachtree Building. The building is a mixed-use site and is shared by MODA, the Peachtree Public Library, and Perkins+Will.
MODA resides on the land of the Mvskoke (Muscogee / Creek) people.

Tré Seals
Tré Seals is the founder of Vocal Type, a revolutionary type foundry that redefines the intersection of design and culture. With a mission to diversify the design industry, Seals draws inspiration from historical events, figures, and movements to create typefaces that amplify marginalized voices. His work has been featured globally, and his innovative approach challenges traditional design narratives by infusing them with social and cultural relevance. Seals is also the author of Dream in Color: 30 Posters of Power by 30 Black Creatives, a book that celebrates the intersection of design and activism.Kaleena Sales
Kaleena Sales is a distinguished designer, educator, and author whose work centers on diversifying the field of design. She is the editor of Centered: People & Ideas Diversifying Design, a book that explores the contributions of underrepresented communities to the world of design. With a background in both graphic design and design education, Sales has dedicated her career to amplifying the voices of marginalized creatives and challenging the industry to be more inclusive. Her writing for the exhibition Characters: Type in Action highlights the importance of representation and the power of design in shaping cultural narratives.Raya Leary
Raya Leary is a researcher, designer, and member of the design firm Civilization. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of design history, Leary played a pivotal role in bringing the exhibition Characters: Type in Action to life. Her research and contributions to the project explore the cultural and historical contexts of typography, offering a rich narrative that enhances the exhibition’s impact. Leary’s work at Civilization focuses on creating meaningful, socially conscious design that resonates with diverse audiences and pushes the boundaries of traditional design practices.Michael Elsworth
Michael is the co-founder and principal of the design practice Civilization. Their studio leverages the radical potential of design to address social issues, expand cultural dialogue, and serve communities. Their decentralized team, spread across the US and Europe, builds identities, websites, campaigns, environmental graphics, exhibitions, and experiences. David Tann is the award-winning Founder of Tantrum Agency, located in Atlanta, GA. With over 15 years of experience, he has worked with global brands like Abercrombie & Fitch, Bath & Body Works, and the Atlanta Hawks, crafting successful campaigns and revitalizing brand identities. His expertise lies in recognizing trends and translating them into impactful products while building high-performing teams through strong collaboration and leadership. Before founding Tantrum, David served as VP, Creative Director for the Atlanta Hawks, playing a key role in shaping the team’s bold visual identity. -
Parking
MODA does not offer designated parking. There are public parking lots located in the Midtown Arts district, as well as metered parking available along Peachtree St NE. The paid Lanier parking deck at 1337 Peachtree St NE is the closest deck within walking distance of the museum.
Bike Riders
For visitors traveling by bike, there are plenty of bike racks conveniently located around MODA! You can find them along Peachtree Street, including right outside of MODA, and at the Arts Center MARTA Station. Don’t forget to bring a lock!
Marta
If visiting by train, take the North or South rail line to the Arts Center MARTA Station (N5), located directly behind the Woodruff Arts Center (accessible). Exit the Arts Center Station at the top level by the Peachtree Street exit. You will be behind the Woodruff Arts Center. MODA is located directly across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center. Use the cross-walk at the intersection of 16th and Peachtree to reach our building.

MODA reserves the right to cancel a program if the minimum enrollment requirements are not met, but don't worry: should MODA have to cancel, we will gladly issue a full refund to all registrants. If you need to cancel your plans for any reason, we kindly request that you notify us at least 7 days prior to the event start. By doing so, we can process a refund for the ticket cost (minus a small $10 processing fee per class). Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days before an event.

Paid parking is available half a block from MODA at 1337 Peachtree Street, with ample street parking nearby. Bicycle racks are in front of MODA and along Peachtree Street. MODA is two blocks from the Arts Center MARTA Station.
MODA is wheelchair accessible with ground-level ramps.
