‌Ever wonder how textiles are made? Want to be a part of the fabric of change?

Join your fellow MODA Members for a behind the scenes look into the heart of the re:loom Weavehouse. Located in Decatur, Georgia, re:loom employs and empowers homeless and low-income individuals through weaving beautifully designed products out of recycled materials. Members will get the chance to tour the Weavehouse and strip our own fabric for recycling. We’ll also learn more about re:looms story, the Initiative for Affordable Housing, and the art of weaving on a loom!

  • re:loom is a program of Initiative for Affordable Housing, a nonprofit organization in Decatur, Georgia. Founded in 1990 with one home and one homeless family, Initiative for Affordable Housing's mission is to provide permanent, affordable housing to homeless and low-income families in metro Atlanta. re:loom helps individuals address obstacles to employment through paid on-site job training and leadership opportunities. The weavers design and produce handmade products out of recycled materials and lead a team of weavehouse volunteers.

  • MODA reserves the right to cancel a program if the minimum enrollment requirements are not met, but don't worry: should MODA have to cancel, we will gladly issue a full refund to all registrants. If you need to cancel your plans for any reason, we kindly request that you notify us at least 7 days prior to the event start.
