3D Design Studio: TinkerCAD in Space!

Virtual | Ages 8 – 14

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio and embark on an intergalactic journey of creativity, design, and STEM exploration in the world of 3D design using TinkerCAD!

In this virtual studio, young designers will dive into the realm of TinkerCAD, a free online CAD software, to imagine, design, and construct their very own technology for space travel. Students will learn about the various equipment deployed by major space agencies and prototype their own.

At the end of the studio, participants will have created unique TinkerCAD designs to share with others.

In This Afterschool Studio, you will:

  • Learn about 3D design.

  • Learn to take ideas and give them 3D form.

  • Learn how CAD modeling can be used to create 3-dimensional objects.

  • Practice collaborative brainstorming, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • A working computer or tablet

  • A free TinkerCAD account

  • A reliable internet connection

Registration Fee: Registration for this Afterschool Studio is free, but space is limited — save your young designer’s seat by clicking the link below!
