In-person at MODA | All Ages
Sundays are fun days, so MODA is throwing a party on the second Sunday of the month!
We’ve joined forces with Industrial Design Society of America (IDSA), and we’re inviting teams of 2 – 4 people ages 16 and older to participate in The Great Chair Hack on March 10th from 1:00 – 5:00 PM! (If you would like to hack a chair, click HERE to learn more and register!)
Not participating in The Great Chair Hack? You can still enjoy The Great Chair Hack & more!
📣 We’re inviting chair enthusiasts young and old to cheer on the teams re-imagining what an IKEA chair can become in front of MODA!
🎟️ Enjoy reduced admission to the museum!
🪑 Take home a part of Please Be Seated: A Century of Chair Design by designing your own seats at the table!
Inspired by the Shirley Chisholm quote, “If they don’t give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair,” guests will be able to design and decorate a chair that expresses their identity or speaks to something they care about! You are welcome to take home your design, or add it to our shelves in the side gallery if you plan on visiting our exhibition.
Watching the Great Chair Hack and other activities on the plaza are free!
General admission is reduced to just $5 from 1:00 – 5:00 PM, though children 11 and under are free. Please purchase your ticket(s) upon arrival.
