Digital Art Studio: Mythical Creatures

Virtual | Ages 12 – 17

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio to create art of unicorns, dragons, mermaids, fairies, centaurs, trolls, gnomes!

In this digital art studio, we’ll turn our favorite mythical creatures into creative creations using MediBang Paint, free software. We’ll start by exploring the software's tools, including brushes, layers, fill tools, and color palettes. Then, each participant will design and sketch a mythical creature!

In This Afterschool Studio, students will . . .

  • Learn to use and practice using MediBang Paint, a free art program

  • Strengthen digital art skills

  • Explore and create mythical creatures

  • Visualize and translate thoughts to a digital canvas

  • Practice giving and receiving kind and constructive feedback

  • Practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • A computer or tablet with internet access

  • Zoom

  • MediBang Paint Pro software pre-installed (it’s free!)

A digital drawing tablet is optional, but it makes for easier creating
