About This Camp

Imagine shaping the neighborhoods of tomorrow! Design ATL: Neighborhoods of the Future is a dynamic summer camp for teens eager to transform their ideas into vibrant, functional, and inclusive community spaces. Dive into a journey of reimagining urban living, where you’ll design the places that bring people together—from homes and parks to bustling public squares.

Explore what makes neighborhoods thrive: residential areas that feel like home, public spaces that inspire connection, transportation that moves us efficiently, and green zones that nourish both people and the planet. You'll work on hands-on projects, collaborate with other creative minds, and get a real feel for how design shapes the communities where we live, work, and play.

If you’re ready to build a future full of possibility, where every corner of a neighborhood works for everyone, then Design ATL: Neighborhoods of the Future is where you belong this summer!

Campers will learn to:

  • Learn about the key components of successful neighborhoods, including layout, accessibility, community amenities, and green spaces.

  • Work on real-world design challenges that focus on creating functional and engaging neighborhoods.

  • Address issues like walkability, safety, and community integration.

  • Collaborate with fellow campers on to design new neighborhoods or improve an existing one.

At the end of the week, parents and caregivers are invited for a showcase of the campers’ creations!

What to Bring:
