SPACED OUT! NASA DESIGN CHALLENGES
Grades 4 - 8
How do NASA engineers and designers think and what problems are they trying to solve right now?
Those are the questions we’ll take on in this in-museum field trip led by a MODA educator.
We’ll learn how lunar landings work and talk about the ways that robots help us with space exploration. We’ll also talk about some of the challenges facing NASA engineers and designers now and try our hand at solving them.
Along the way, students will get familiar with a free, online, computer-aided design program called Tinkercad that they can keep using for other projects even after this workshop!
