Be Part of MODA’s Next Exhibition

Participate in Net-Work, a collaborative fiber art installation by Adrian Baker, featured in MODA’s upcoming exhibition, Threads of Change. Inspired by the underground networks of mycorrhizal fungi that sustain forests, Net-Work symbolizes connection and resilience through hand-crafted strands contributed by creators like you.

How to Participate

  • Craft a fiber strand (1–6 inches wide, up to 14 feet long).

  • Your strand can be made from any fiber – yarn, fabric, natural or synthetic – but we'd be thrilled if you use recycled or leftover materials.

  • Your strand can be knitted, crocheted, woven, braided, sewn, or crafted in another way.

  • It can be in any color or combination that inspires you.

  • Drop it off at MODA (1315 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309) during opening hours (Wednesday-Sunday, 12pm-7pm) or mail it to the same address by January 31, 2025.

  • Please be sure your name is included with the strand so we can acknowledge you. If you'd like to also include a photo of yourself, we'll add it to a video in the exhibit.

Your work will be part of the exhibition, on view from February 6 through mid-May 2025, and we’d love for you to join us for the opening celebration on the evening of February 6. More on that soon!

About Net-Work

Designed by Adrian Baker, Net-Work was shortlisted for the Berlin Social Arts Award in 2021.

It is an ongoing collaborative art project symbolizing the underground web of mycorrhizal fungi which enables trees to communicate and interact through their roots - crucial to the health of the forest.

This collective work also recognizes how human connection with one another other and with nature is essential to our survival . To date, over 300 strands have been hand-made by participants around the world.
