3D Design Studio: Travel the World with TinkerCAD

Virtual | Ages 8 – 14

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio and embark on a globetrotting journey of creativity, design, and STEM exploration in the world of 3D design using TinkerCAD!

In this virtual studio, young designers will dive into the realm of world travel. Participants will be invited to discuss what makes travel important as we learn about different cultures from around the world.

Students will learn to use TinkerCAD, a free online CAD software, to imagine, design, and construct their very own treasures from around the world.

At the end of the studio, participants will have created their own unique TinkerCAD souvenirs to share with others.

In This Afterschool Studio, you will:

  • Learn about 3D design.

  • Learn to take ideas and give them 3D form.

  • Learn how CAD modeling can be used to create 3-dimensional objects.

  • Practice collaborative brainstorming, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

Requirements:

  • A working computer or tablet

  • A free TinkerCAD account

  • A reliable internet connection

Registration Fee: Registration for this Afterschool Studio is free, but space is limited — save your young designer’s seat by clicking the link below!
