In-Person
This summer, Hip-Hop turned 50 years old.
And to commemorate its anniversary, MODA is partnering with ScatchOutLoud to host a panel discussion about the impact this musical genre has had on video games!
From a panel comprised of video game and hip-hop historians, attendants will learn about everything related to the intersection of hip-hop and gaming, and they'll even have a chance to ask any burning questions.
Panelists will delve into specific issues like licensing and narrow in on games including Def Jam Vendetta, Grand Theft Auto, NBA 2K, Parappa the Rapper, DJ Hero, and more. They'll share how artists get their music into games and elaborate on how younger generations of gamers learn about genres in musical history through the tunes they encounter while gaming.
