Want to tell people what's special about your community, in a way you can update and manage easily on your own? Do you know how to use Google Sheets or Excel? Okay, well, you already know the hard part when it comes to building an app!
In this workshop, we'll be working from a pre-existing set of information based on Atlanta’s West End neighborhood, and building a community hub for the area.
Once we've got the basics squared away, you'll be able to start planning out and creating your very own app from information that you've gathered. The best part? These apps work on any smartphone, no coding required! You'll be able to launch at the end of class and start sharing your brand new app with the world.
What to expect:
An overview of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and what they can do
Guided introduction of Glide, a PWA platform
Free template for creating your own wedding hub
What to bring:
Make an account on Glide if you have time. We recommend “Signing up with Google” so you have an easier time connecting Google Sheets!
