LEGO Studio - Spooky Scenes

Virtual | Ages 8 – 14

Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio and embark on an out-of-this-world adventure as you design and build your very own spooky scenes...out of LEGO!

Join us as we use our imaginations to imagine spooky stories and build chilling scenes and spooky settings with LEGO.

In This Afterschool Studio, you will:

  • delve into the world of scary story design and uncover the principles that make for an awe-inspiring experience

  • use concepts from science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to design and construct hair raising scenes, props for a scary story, and more

  • discuss theme design and how it can be incorporated into LEGO builds

  • practice collaboration, inclusivity, creative courage, imaginative problem-solving, storytelling, and critical thinking

  • explore careers in architectural design and world development

  • practice giving and receiving kind and constructive feedback

At the end of the studio, participants will have created their own unique LEGO spooky scene to share with others!

Requirements:

  • Computer or tablet with a reliable connection to the internet

  • Any LEGO you have - no specific sets or bricks are necessary
