Meet At: MODA
1315 Peachtree St NE 3030
About This Event
This Jane’s Walk, taking place on Peachtree in Midtown Atlanta, focuses on themes of Art & Architecture, Environment, History & Culture.
Join Atlanta City Studio and Congress for the New Urbanism Atlanta (CNU) for an insightful walking tour focused on the future of our urban spaces inspired by Thomas Heatherwick's book, Humanize: A Maker's Guide to Designing Our Cities.
Participate in a conversation about the emotional and social impacts that buildings can have on individuals.
Discover how re-humanizing our cities can contribute to our overall well-being. The Humanize-inspired Jane’s Walk will concentrate on a section of Peachtree in Midtown, examining how people interact with built environments, buildings, and surrounding spaces.
Together, we will take a closer look at the public realm!
As we stroll through these urban areas, we’ll tackle important questions about how citizens can help plan for "lasting urbanism that fosters connection, resilience, and pride." – Will McCollum, CNU Atlanta and architect at Lew Oliver, Inc.
Plan ahead and join us at Atlanta City Studio Book Club with Congress for the New Urbanism Atlanta on Tuesday, May 22nd, co-hosted by MODA. Learn more about Heatherwick's book Humanize: A Maker's Guide to Designing Our Cities and explore “a rousing call for action” in the historic Hotel Row neighborhood in Atlanta.
