Virtual | Ages 8-13
Join MODA for a virtual Afterschool Studio where you’ll design and code your own video game for mobile devices!
Games on phones and tablets are so much fun to play -- but have you ever wondered how they're designed? In this studio, you’ll find out as you design and create a game of your very own!
You’ll also learn about career opportunities in STEM, computer science, and the gaming industry, and as the studio wraps up, you’ll be able to publish your game, share it with other participants, and play the games they’ve created, as well.
This Afterschool Studio:
Introduces GDevelop, a free platform you can keep using to build games after the studio ends
Strengthens creativity
Builds resilience
Introduces different careers in the Game Design field
Provides an introduction to game design
Requirements:
Requires a computer or tablet with strong internet access
A free account on GDevelop.
Registration Fee: Registration for this Afterschool Studio is free, but space is limited — save your young designer’s seat by clicking the link below!

Designers with different styles of learning or special needs are welcome in MODA public programs. We will be able to most effectively help everyone learn and enjoy this experience if we know about those needs in advance of the program. Please email leslie@museumofdesign.org with questions or information.
