On July 8, 2020, we spoke with self-proclaimed risk taker, artist, and designer Kevin Walz.

He is principal of Walzworkinc, a design firm specializing in spatial design and signature product lines. Kevin gave us a tour of his residence in East Harlem, and he spoke about his creative process. Interestingly, Kevin was not trained as a designer; instead, he studied Fine Arts at the Pratt Institute and the New York Studio School. Nonetheless, he is regarded by the design community as an artist, inventor, and visionary. His work spans interior design, industrial design, product design, and the fine arts.

Kevin was inducted into the Interior Design Magazine Hall of Fame in 1994. He was also awarded a Rome Prize from the American Academy of Rome. His work has been in numerous periodicals and books. His art and designs have been exhibited in galleries and museums in North America and Europe.
